Rhumba 4 Rainbow
A benefit to prevent child abuse & end domestic violence
In order to maintain The Rainbow Project's high level of service, we rely heavily on private funding and government grants. This has proven to be even more critical over the past few years with recent budgets cuts to all levels of government funding. As a result, 12 years ago Sharyl (Executive Director), decided to combine her love of salsa dancing with a fundraiser for traumatized children and their families, and Rhumba 4 Rainbow was born.
The Rhumba 4 Rainbow Benefit features a unique combination of salsa dancing performances, contests, and community volunteer recognition. The event also features a very diverse crowd that has topped 700 guests in recent years. It is a time when the business sector, government officials, community and “salseros” come together for a night of dancing and fun while raising money for a good cause.
